Can you imagine a cd by Def Leppard with Tim Mc Graw on it. There is a track called "Nine Lives' that is designed to trigger all the synapses in your head that still has parts of "Hysteria" rattling around them. It also co-stars Tim McGraw.
This is the band's first new set since 2002. It is full of these well-intentioned attempts to recapture some of that 80's Pyromania, but without Robert Lange, long time producer. This cd is solid but not overly spectacular. While it doesn't give the vibe it did back in their prime, it does have a handful of track that will sound good on tour. The best track is their ballad, "Love."
